About Zhigeng Silk

Welcome to Zhigeng Silk—your go-to custom silk scarf manufacturer in the beautiful silk capital of Hangzhou, China!

For over 15 years, we’ve proudly partnered with a wide range of fashion brands, wholesalers, artists, and online retailers, all driven by our passion for creativity. We believe in pushing boundaries to craft exquisite silk scarves that inspire.

At Zhigeng Silk, we offer three innovative printing methods to turn your visions into reality. Each method presents its own unique benefits! In the following section, we’ll take you through the exciting process of customizing a single-sided digitally printed silk scarf—our most popular and budget-friendly choice. Let’s create something beautiful together!

What is the single-side digital printing?

Single-side digital printing uses permanent reactive digital ink, less harmful to the environment and producing more vibrant colours. We print using eight colours to achieve a wide spectrum of colour values. The printing colours will be much closer to your designs and more vivid. Your design is directly printed on the surface of silk fabric. The colour on the back of the scarf is infused with 70%-80% of the ink from the front, ensuring a long-lasting print.

This printing method excels at reproducing complex designs and photographs with remarkable detail. It is ideal for small orders and quick turnaround times, with samples available within 7-10 days.

Which silk fabrics are best for single-side digital printing?

Silk satin

The silk satin fabric features different weaving patterns on each side: the front is smooth and shiny, while the back has a dull and wrinkled texture. As a result, the printed colours will appear differently on both surfaces.

We recommend selecting lightweight silk satin fabrics, such as 10mm, 12mm, or 14mm, for single-sided digital printing. The lighter the fabric, the better the ink will penetrate the back, and the soft, smooth texture will provide your neck with an unparalleled sense of comfort.

Our stylish and avant-garde designs will ensure you look and feel fashionable.

Silk twill

As its name suggests, Silk twill is a mulberry silk fabric woven in a twill pattern. Notably, the direction of the texture indicates its front and back: a twill slanting to the upper right is typically the front, while one slanting to the upper left is the back.

Silk twill has been a celebrated fabric in fashion and textiles for centuries. A prime example is the iconic Hermès scarf, made from silk twill.

We recommend 12mm and 14mm for single-side digital printing.

Silk Habotai

Often referred to as “china silk,” this exquisite plain weave silk is celebrated for its incredible fineness, lightweight nature, and luxurious sheen. It’s a favourite choice of clothing and is especially popular for stunning silk scarves! Artists adore this habotai fabric because the vibrant ink stays beautifully put without spreading. Plus, it’s perfect for single-side digital printing, with lovely 8mm and 10mm options, making it ideal for creating eye-catching printed silk scarves.

Embrace the elegance of china silk and let your creativity shine!

Silk Crepe De Chine

Crepe de chine fabric has a silky smooth feel, a fluid drape, and a slightly grainy texture. It is lightweight, dense, and breathable but does not possess a glossy lustre. While the fabric is generally opaque, lighter shades may appear somewhat sheer. We recommend using 12mm or 14mm fabric for single-sided digital printing.

Silk Chiffon

Silk chiffon is a translucent fabric or gauze. It is a lightweight, plain-woven sheer fabric or gauze woven of alternate S-and Z- Twist crepe (high-twist) yarns. Chiffon is smoother and more lustrous than the similar fabric Georgette.

Sound is often used as a decorative fabric in accessories, such as a lightweight scarf for warmer months or a beautiful sash for wear with wraps or pareo.

Cause it is thinner and can be looked through, silk chiffon fabric only suggests single-side digital printing, which includes thicknesses of 6mm,8mm, and 10mm.

Silk Georgette

Silk georgette is a lightweight and breathable fabric known for its grainy texture and semi-sheer appearance, which gives it a dull, matte finish. The texture of georgette has a slightly coarse feel. It is made from the same yarn as crepe silk but is woven using tightly twisted yarns in opposite directions, creating a slightly crinkled, crepe-like effect. While georgette is heavier than chiffon and resembles crepe silk, it is not as smooth or shiny. This fabric is well-suited for making shawls and scarves. Since it is a thin silk fabric, it is recommended to print on one side only.

Silk blend cotton

This fabric features a luxurious blend of 30% silk and 70% cotton, providing smoothness and softness. The silk offers a gentle touch, while the cotton adds breathability, making it ideal for wearing around the neck.

Available in 8mm, 10mm, and 12mm thicknesses, these silk-cotton scarves are perfect for single-side digital printing, allowing various designs. This economical choice is excellent for anyone looking to start a collection of stylish neck accessories.

Silk blend modal

This exquisite material comprises 15% luxurious silk and 85% soft, durable modal. The silk fibres impart a beautiful sheen and a silky-smooth texture, creating an elegant feel against the skin. In contrast, the modal fibres add exceptional softness and long-lasting durability, ensuring that the fabric can withstand the test of time.

Remarkably, our silk-blend modal is stronger than pure silk, making it an outstanding choice for single-sided digital printing. The vibrant printed designs, enriched by the silk composition, elevate your products with truly high-value features. You’ll love the results!

When creating your print designs, remember that they need to be at a significantly higher resolution than standard digital designs. This ensures that every detail on your silk scarf looks sharp and vibrant!

Here are some tips to help you optimise your files for the best results:

– Use RGB or sRGB colour modes with an embedded colour profile.

If you’re aiming for stunning, bold colors, Adobe RGB (1998) is a great choice.

– Keep your resolution between 200 DPI and 300 DPI for optimal quality.

– Make sure your canvas size is perfect for printing; it should not exceed the width of your chosen fabric.

For more detailed guidance, don’t hesitate to check this link.

– Flatten all layers in your design.

– Save your file without compression to maintain quality.

– Please avoid sending ZIP files.
